Top speed of 35mph – not a problem in the inner city!
Bolivia’s Quantum Motors has an electric vehicle – the E4 – that has a feature we like a lot – low price.
It is like a Tuk-Tuk, with a driver at the front and two people (tight-squeeze) or your groceries behind.
In keeping with the low price and target demographic, the range is also very low at 60 miles.
The good news is the price, $US7,500. But uptake is low, and they have only sold 370 cars, which means Bolivia EV industry isn’t looking like being a big hit, even though they mine a lot of lithium.
