Officially announced within days of each other, two Chinese models have slashed their debut prices compared with estimates in the media. Although they say it is a coincidence, it feels like being the cheapest electric vehicle in Australia is a badge they want to wear.
The two hatches have similar ranges (340 and 350 kms), and look similar, and the prices are almost identical, with $38,990 for the MG Excite 4 and $38,890 for the BYD Dolphin.
